"I wasn’t planning on having live music at my wedding because I thought it was going to be too expensive, but my best friend and bridesmaid spoke to me about a friend of hers who might be available to perform for a reasonable price.
So I discovered Richie Robinson, an easy going, funny bloke who has an amazing talent on the guitar. He was very helpful with ideas and suggestions for song types, timing of songs and the type of feel needed at a certain time/event in the wedding. He allowed us to use our own style of music even though it wasn’t typical of wedding music- even encouraging us to follow our love of “Old School Metal music”.
He allowed us to use our own singer and songs some of which he had not used at a function before- learning them in a very short space of time.
He was really flexible with his time and communication, supporting me when I had moments of uncertainty- taking calls and emails at random hours of the day due to my shift working hours. He was very understanding of the fact that I could only meet him in person the week before the wedding because I lived interstate and couldn’t come down until then.
His talent cannot actually be explained in words- this man has a gift and a flair for music! Everyone who met him on the day was in awe and captivated by his skills and personality. I have had several people asking for his details or how I came to find such an amazing man. The relaxed atmosphere he created throughout the whole day helped me and my husband-to be relax and enjoy the day. We felt like he was part of the group and welcomed him as a guest rather than the hired music.
He added a personal touch that I would never have gotten from recorded music and the atmosphere was so much more inviting, relaxed and fun with the live performance. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone looking to create an amazing atmosphere of fun, love or just plain musical appreciation.
I cannot thank him enough for helping to create an absolutely amazing day for my now husband and myself!"
